Santa Fe did a great job up front convincing me that they were very responsible and diligent. I was concerned about the size of the shipment, and was reassured over and over that the crew were experts at this, and would be able to correctly estimate the size. Well, the crew happily informed me that the shipment would all fit within the quoted amount - and they even agreed to include (still within my space quotation!) a couple of items I had held back and was planning to just leave behind. I was thrilled, and we packed our suitcases and moved ourselves from Hungary to the U.S. As you might guess from my rating, it didn't work like that. I got an email some time later stating that the goods were actually half again as much as the quoted amount, and that the price was nearly double! (And, of course, due immediately, or my goods would not be shipped from their current holding warehouse). I paid it - what choice did I have? After a much longer than anticipated wait, my good finally arrived - including fascinating finds like a computer monitor simply shoved into an unopened cardboard box, a duffel bag sitting along taking up half the room in a large clothing box (in two instances!), and a total space occupied in my living room that was still within the originally quoted amount!! In answer to my complaint, I got back completely nonsense answers about how 'the shipping container also takes up volume', and 'shipping rates changed since the time of the quote' (which (a) was just weeks before, and (b) defeats the whole purpose of a quote). I have no recourse, from overseas, so I am just out the thousands of dollars... I hope I can spare someone else the same fate.Read more

Umzug Basel via Zürich nach Sofia Bulgarien
Der Zügeltermin war am 28. Mai 2021. Das Packteam (zwei Männer) hatte an meiner alten Adresse ganze Arbeit geleistet. Das war wirklich ein exellenter Service. Ich habe sehr viele heikle Objekte. Ein ungarischer Mitarbeiter hat das sehr genau genommen und fast jedes Objekt sorgfälltig in eine Schachtel gepackt. Zeitweise habe ich Ihnen geholfen, sonst hätten Sie die Arbeit nicht geschafft.

Zwischenzeitlich bin ich nach Bulgarien ausgewandert und lebe hier seit anfangs dieses Monats. Noch immer warte ich auf meine Ware. Ein paar Mal habe ich die Disponenten in Zürch kontaktiert. Schlussendlich verwies sie mich auf Ihren Kollegen in Sofia, Bulgarien. Fast drei Wochen wurde nun mein Hab und Gut in Zürich in einem Lager zwischengelagert. Das verheisst nichts Gutes. Gestern meldete sich auf mein erneutes Ersuchen der General Manager hier in Sofia (er hat mich ein paar Tage nach meiner Einreise an meinem neuen Standort besucht). Der Grund der Verzögerung: Sie konnten bis dato keinen Transporter finden, der die Ware hätte früher spedieren können. Ist das professionell? Ich habe non berechtigt Ängste und Bedenken. Ich weiss nicht in welchem Umfeld die Waren gelagert wurden (Feuchtigkeit etc.). Somit kann ich kein definitives Urteil abgeben. Irgendwann nächste Woche sollte die Sachen endlich bei mir ankommen, falls sie nicht noch weiter hängenbleiben am bulgarischen Zoll. Durch diese Verzögerung und mangels Information über den aktuellen Stand, hatte ich noch zusätzlich und unnötigen Stress während des Migrationsverfahrens.

Ich hoffe nun, dass das Ganze noch ein gutes Ende findet. Ich werde auf keinen Fall Mehrkosten bei solch einem schlechten Service bezahlen. Das ist sicher.Read more
